SPORTOBIN’S 10 ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR AFTER THE 2-DAY WALK
  • Take a full day off from work if you can or alternatively take half a day if possible.
  • Get a relaxing massage the very next day and be sure to tell the massage therapist that you did the walk so they will not go too deeply into your muscles.
  • Keep drinking plenty of fluids to hydrate your system. It will take your body a while to get back to normal.
  • Remember to stretch each day and if you can take a yoga class once a week too.
  • Get some light exercise. For example walk a few miles, ride your bike or go rollerblading.
  • Eat plenty of healthy foods like fresh fruits, vegetables and fish.
  • Spend some time alone reflecting on your 3-Day experience and write in your journal if you keep one.
  • Stay in touch with your new walking friend(s) and plan a photo sharing party right away.
  • Take some time to share your experience with loved ones at a special lunch or dinner if possible.
  • Buy or do something nice for yourself as a reward for all of your hard work and dedication; for example get a pedicure, go to a day spa or buy a new outfit.
